Shooting In Garland Leaves One Dead And Another Injured; Suspect Remains At Large

Garland police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another injured over the weekend.

The shooting occurred Friday, around 6:30 p.m., in the 3500 block of Easton Meadows.

Authorities and emergency crews arrived to the scene and located two individuals inside an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both were transported to an area hospital where Trenton Tuba Trent Butler died from his injuries. The other victim was hospitalized with their condition unknown.

Garland police have not made any arrest but believe the victims knew the suspect.

This is an ongoing investigation.
