On November 7, 2023, at about 8:55 pm, a man was loading groceries in the rear of his vehicle when he was held at gunpoint, and his wallet was stolen, authorities in Rowlett, Texas, say. This occured in the 2500 block of Lakeview Parkway.
Two days following that, on Nov. 9, at about 10 a.m., Rowlett officers responded to the same business parking lot for another aggravated robbery. The same suspect was described, but the suspect vehicle couldn’t be found.
After the first press release, 17-year-old Patrick Taylor and 21-year-old Dwayne Broadnax, were identified as the suspects.
On Nov. 13, Taylor was arrested after authorities received a tip. Although a warrant was issued for his arrest, Broadnax was just arrested on January 31, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Both suspects remain in custody.
