1.4kviews

On Wednesday, a shooting occurred at PlazAmericas Mall in southwest Houston. It left one San Jacinto County Pct.1 Deputy Constable dead and a suspect taken to a medical facility where he later died.

Close to 4 p.m., over 12 police officers could be seen answering to a call of a shooting at the 7500 block of Bellaire Boulevard.

Authorities say that Constable Neil Adams was killed as he worked a second job at the mall. The unnamed gunman had gotten Adams’ gun from him and shot him. The 35-year-old suspect then went into the food court section of the mall and Houston Police Department officers shot him while it seemed that he had a sharp object in his possession.

The suspect’s name hasn’t been released.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the matter.
