During a random search of employees’ cars, an officer, in Anderson County, Texas, is said to have been caught with the synthetic drug K2.

On June 30, searches of employee vehicles that came into the Coffield Unit were conducted. That’s when three vacuum-sealed bags of a green leafy substance were discovered, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice noted in a released statement.

The officer involved was identified as Diana Mogotu Nyangau of Palestine. She was apprehended by detectives for the introduction of K2, and she was drug tested.

Nyangau is facing bribery charges and was placed in the Anderson County Jail on July 1.

She was released from jail on a $25,000 bond and was freed the same day.

An investigation is continuing.
