On Thursday morning, as a result of a love triangle, a shooting occurred in Brooklyn, New York.
38-year-old Jasmine Figueroa, one of the deceased, was said to be at the center of the love triangle after having dealings with both the gunman and the other victim.
Police say that Figueroa was shot in the head at her residence, and those on the neighborhood say that the assailant was her 50-year-old former fiancé, Orlando Jones. That suspect also shot a 44-year-old man that Figueroa had now been seeing, in the abdomen and leg.
After he shot those two, the gunman then fatally shot himself. When police arrived to the location, they discovered the gun, next to the assailant, on the street.
Figueroa was transported to a medical facility but was declared deceased Thursday evening. The other victim is expected to survive.
An investigation is continuing.
