Woman Who Cut Baby’s Throat And Tossed Him In Trash, Declared Incompetent To Stand Trial

2.5kviews

After an infant boy’s father denied him, the mother of the baby cut the three-month-old’s throat and threw his body in the trash.

Now, Fardoussa Omar Abdillahi of Minnesota, the 27-year-old mother, has been declared incompetent to stand trial by a judge.

Authorities learned of the incident after a tipster stated that the woman told her mother, who lives in another state, that she had thrown the baby away. The mother then contacted others who went to Abdillahi’s home to see what was going on.

The tipster and others went to find the baby. But, they were unable to and didn’t know if the mother was telling the truth.

They then called authorities who questioned the mother and eventually found the baby in a trash bag, tossed in a dumpster behind her building.

Later, Abdillahi disclosed to police that she had been having headaches and feeling worried after giving birth. The child’s father had also been denying that the child belonged to him.

In November 2021, the mother was arrested and held on a $2 million bond. She was indicted in December for first-degree and second-degree murder.

However, after many mental health evaluations, a judge has now ruled that Abdillahi isn’t competent to stand trial.

It was noted that if and when the mother “regains competency” the matter will be pursued again.
