Fort Worth police officers answered to call at 801 7th Avenue, Cook Children’s Medical Center, on Monday, June 19, 2023, around 10:23 p.m.
They were called in regards to a juvenile male who had come to the medical facility by car and need treatment for a gunshot injury.
Officers found the victim and determined that the shooting happened in the 5500 block of Brentwood Stair Road.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office noted that the 12-year-old boy died from his wounds a little while after arriving to the hospital.
An investigation is on-going.
