Mineral Wells police are investigating after a 13 year old was shot in the head Friday morning.
Around 10 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence on the 1600 block of NW 3rd Avenue.
Upon arriving they found a 13 year old boy inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. They also located a 10 year old boy inside the residence, he has no injuries.
The victim was transported to a Fort Worth hospital in critical condition.
As of now authorities are working to determine how the victim got the gun.
No further details have been released at this time.
