14 Year Old Arrested After Breaking Into Home And Raping A Woman In Front Of Her Child
A 14 year old Long Island teen was arrested after he allegedly raped a woman in front of her 4 year old child.
According to reports, the teen and an accomplice broke into a Mastic Beach home on April 19.
The 23 year old mother heard noises downstairs and locked her and her 4 year old daughter in an upstairs bedroom.
The 14 year old then went upstairs and kicked in the bedroom door where she was hiding.
The attacker allegedly raped the woman in front of her daughter before choking and slashing her face with a switchblade.
While all this was going on the accomplice was rambling through the house looking for belongings to steal.
Once the teen was done him and his accomplice fled on foot.
The woman then ran to a neighbors house for help. When authorities arrived she was transported to a local hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries.
On April 20 the teen was arrested and taken into custody. While in custody he admitted to the burglary and submitted DNA.
He was charged with rape, criminal sexual act, assault, burglary, sexual abuse, strangulation and endangering the welfare of a child.
Although he will be tried as a juvenile he could face a maximum of 10 years in prison.
Authorities are still searching for the accomplice.
He threw away his life at fourteen.
He needs to be tried as an adult and sent to an adult prison. Maybe there they can teach him what rape feels like.
