A fatal shooting is being investigated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Houston, Texas. Three people were killed and two other people were injured as they partied at a short-term rental property in the 4600 block of Russet Leaf Trace on Sunday.

Authorities say that the party was a small gathering that included about 10 to 20 people. They added that the deceased were a woman and a man who died at the scene and another man who was declared deceased at a medical facility. Two other people were transported to the hospital for their wounds.

The individuals involved in the shooting seemed to be in their 20s. Police don’t know if the suspects were inside of the residence or if there was an uninvited person who came and started shooting.

Evidence at the location has led authorities to believe that the person was shooting from outside of the home, officials say.

An investigation is on-going.
