A burglar in New Mexico was arrested after breaking into a home, taking a bath and eating shrimp.

The incident happened on January 30 when Teral Christesson,34 broke a window to a residence and went inside.

During that time he bathed, drank a beer and ate shrimp before being caught inside the residence by the homeowner.

Christesson had a duffel bag with an AR-15 rifle inside, the homeowner noticed the weapon and called police.

Before officers could arrive, embarrassed Christesson grabbed his bag, apologized and left the homeowner $200 for the damages.

Police say the intruder was very apologetic and said he just needed a warm place to rest and some food to eat.

The following day Santa Fe police received a call about a man trying to carjack a woman at gunpoint at a Church’s chicken.

When police arrived she told them that when she began to honk the horn the suspect ran off.

A few hours later police spotted Christesson walking on rodeo and arrested him.

He was charged with aggravated burglary, larceny, and criminal damage to a property.
