On December 31, 2021, the Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter tracked a stolen vehicle close to the 800 block of J J Lemmon Road.
Several vehicles could be spotted from the chopper. The Dallas Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force was informed shortly afterwards.
Officers were granted a search warrant to be conducted on the 120-acre piece of land. There, they found about 32 stolen vehicles that had been broken down into different parts.
The Dallas Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force is continuing to look into the matter, and charges may follow.
