4.7kviews

Garland High School graduate, Lawrence “Billy” Jones III, will have his own primetime show on the country’s largest cable news network, Fox.

Jones, HS class of 2011, first gained public attention as chairman of Garland’s youth council. He then ran for the city’s school board before hosting his own radio show.

Right before Jones joined Fox News in 2018, he was the editor-in-chief at Campus Reform. This new gig will make Jones, 29, the youngest Black solo host of a cable news show.

His new show, Lawrence Jones Cross Country, will air at 9 p.m. Central on Saturdays. On the show, Jones will travel across the U.S. and tackle discussions like crime, COVID-19 policies and issues impacting underserved communities.

Jones has been named on Red Alert’s 30 Under 30 and right-wing American news and opinion website Newsmax’s 30 Most Influential Republicans Under 30 lists.
