Grand Prairie Woman Killed After Being Run Over By Own Car

Close to 9:30 a.m., on Wednesday, first responders answered to a call at the 2800 block of Bent Tree Lane in Arlington. The call had been in regards to woman who had been run over by a car.

At the location, a 65-year-old woman was discovered lying in the road. She was taken to a medical facility where she died.

While investigating, authorities found that the woman owned the car and had been driving it just prior to the accident.

Onlookers told detectives that the woman pulled in a driveway and got out of her car. She then saw that the vehicle was moving backwards. The woman seemingly attempted to get back in the car, fell, and was run over.

The woman hasn’t been publicly named but lived in Grand Prairie.

An investigation is on-going.
