An initial member of the group, Hi-Five, has passed away.

Roderick “Pooh” Clark, 49, died on Sunday after experiencing complications from an infection and pneumonia. He passed away at a medical facility in Waco, Texas.

Marcus Sanders, another member of the group, said that Roderick was in a car accident 30 years ago, in Florida. It resulted in him being paralyzed from the waist down, and he could no longer walk. Later, he got an infection in his body that lasted for a long time.

Within the last two weeks, Roderick was suffering from pneumonia. Thus, he had gone back and forth to the hospital until he died.

Roderick and his R& B group formed in 1989. They reached the top of the charts in 1991 with their infamous song “I Lilke The Way (The Kissing Game).

“We had some amazing phone conversations in the past and some great visits when I came thru Waco! I’ll cherish them forever,” expressed the group’s musical director Martinez Little.
