Arlington police arrested a man that they say shined a laser at Fort Worth PD’s Air 1 early Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Arlington PD requested Air 1 assistance from Fort Worth PD to help find a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
During the search the pilot noticed someone shining a bright laser at them and notified authorities.
The pilot directed officers to the 1200 block of Land Rush Drive where they were able to arrest 48 year old Gregory Bills.
Officers spoke with Bills and confiscated a laser pointer from him.
Bills was arrested and booked into Arlington City Jail where he was charged with one count of interfering with public duties and illuminating aircraft with a laser pointer impairing operator.
