Jose De Jesus Montoya Villa, 31, was wanted for fatally shooting a woman at a church outside of Denver, last week. Two other people were hurt, as well.

On Wednesday, Montoya Villa was shot and killed in Aurora, Colorado, after he was pulled over in a stolen car. This was after he had just shot a gun in a parking lot, wounded one person, and allegedly robbed a liquor store and carjacked two people.

When officers made contact with him in the second stolen car, Montoya Villa confronted them as he was armed. The rest of the details of how the police started shooting are unclear at this time.

Montoya Villa was transported to a hospital and died. Then, authorities found out that he was the suspect that they had been searching for in connection to the church shooting, last Friday. Adela Maria Madrid, 37, was the person killed. The two had broken up, and he had been harassing her.

Madrid was a respiratory therapist, and her family stated that church was an integral part of her life.
