On Thursday, Detective Tiffany Lipkovitch, 46, and Amber Bellamy, 38, pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute fentanyl-laced heroin. They both could receive up to 40 years in prison.

Lipkovitch, a High Park detective in Detroit, Michigan, has been a law enforcement officer since 2011.

Reports indicate that many calls and meetings with Lipkovitch and a private source were recorded. Lipkovitch provided samples and photos of drugs that she could obtain from her associate, Bellamy.

Lipkovitch could also be heard asking what the heroin would be mixed with to dilute it. When the source said it would be “cut” with fentanyl, Lipkovitch stated that Bellamy was expecting a fentanyl shipment from overseas soon.

Later on, Bellamy met the confidential source, in person, and a 45-gram combination of fentanyl and heroin was sold to the source.

Subsequent to that, the private source met up with Lipkovitch while she was on-duty. Lipkovitch was in her police attire as she accepted $300 for orchestrating the drug transasction.

In the past, Lipkovitch was acsused of associating with felons and providing them drugs while they were locked up.
