A speeding driver caused a six-car crash in North Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday.
As a result, nine people lost their life, and one person has been listed in critical condition in a hospital.
The entire incident involved 15 people with the driver of the Dodge Challenger just having run a red light before the accident.
“We have not seen a mass casualty traffic collision like this before,” stated police spokesperson Alexander Cuevas.
As the crash happened, the driver hit several cars, knocking some of them into a vacant lot on the intersection. It caused chaos at the scene.
The deceased victims are juveniles to middle-aged adults. The medical examiner will release their identities.
Authorities say that the operator of the speeding vehicle died, as well.
