Eliphas Osinde is a 32-year-old dentist from Terrell, Texas, who owns Osinde Family Dentistry.
On March 24, 2022, Osinde was apprehended. He was charged with online solicitation of a minor, sexual conduct, following an investigation in Collin County.
The Collin County Sheriff’s Office released a statement regarding the incident.
“On March 23rd, Eliphas began communicating with one of our undercover CEU Investigators. That person was posing online as a 15-year-old female. Eliphas made his clear intention to meet and engage in sexual activity. He made plans to meet at a local park the next day. On March 24th, Eliphas arrived to the meet location. There, he was arrested by deputies and taken into custody without incident.”
Osinde’s bond was set at $50,000 after his first court hearing. As a result, he posted bail and was released the next day. But, due to the nature of the crime he had to hand over his passport.
He also filed for indigence after handing over his passport.
However, on May 3, Osinde is set to appear in court again because he wants to alter his bond conditions.
Heather J. Barbieri, who has been a part of Attorney General Ken Paxton’s legal team, is representing Osinde.
Osinde attended the University of North Texas where he graduated Suma Cum Laude. He is also an adjunct professor at Baylor University College of Dentistry.
