On July 4, two women were apprehended after deputies say that they got into a physical altercation. This led to one of them biting the other’s ear off.
Officers with the Bay County County Sheriff’s Office answered to the call in connection to the battery and assault on Olokee Street.
The incident began at a residence where a party what was happening with unsupervised juveniles next door.
Just after 12 a.m., deputies say that the fight began, and multiple men were involved. Eventually, Macy Regan, 23, is said to have attempted to leave the party and go next door.
That’s when detectives say that 18-year-old Dixie Stiles approached Regan and claimed that she had stolen alcohol and vape pens.
Regan is said to have then taken out a 9mm handgun from her waistband, and Stiles pushed the gun away prior to the fight.
Deputies say that at some point during the fight, Regan bit the top of Stiles’s ear off.
Both women sustained several bruises and cuts, and Stiles’s ear could be reattached.
Regan is now facing charges for felony battery, causing bodily harm. Stiles is facing a charge of battery.
An investigation is continuing.
