Uvalde School Shooter’s Cousin Arrested For Threatening to “Do The Same Thing”

764views

The cousin of the Uvalde school shooter was arrested on Monday for making threats to shoot up a school.

The 17-year-old was charged with threatening to commit an act of violence to cause serious bodily injury and terroristic threat — public place fear of serious bodily injury.

According to an arrest affidavit with the San Antonio Police Department, the teenager’s mom contacted police and told them her son had threatened “to do the same thing” as his cousin.

The family is related to the 19-year-old mass shooter who opened fire inside Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, killing 19 children and 2 teachers.

The mother told detectives that she heard her son, who is currently on probation, trying to purchase an AR-15 over the phone. Reports state that he told family members he would shoot up the school across the street and mentioned that school is starting soon.

His sister also made reports to police that he threatened to shoot her while she gave him a ride one day.

The San Antonio Police Department says they are firm believers in “see something, say something” and continue to try to keep their city safe.
