A white powdered substance discovered at the White House over the weekend has been confirmed to be cocaine.
The powdery substance was located in the West Wing of the White House where guests are asked to leave their cellphones during their tour.
As part of safety protocols, the building was evacuated and Washington D.C.’s Fire Department’s hazmat team was dispatched to the location.
President Biden was not at the White House at the time of the discovery. It was confirmed that he was at Camp David until Tuesday morning.
An investigation into who is responsible for bringing the substance into the building remains ongoing.
