A Florida mother has been arrested for child abuse for hitting her baby in the face and posting it on instagram.
Police say Tya Posley, 23, was seen in a viral video slapping her 1-year-old in the face while spewing profanities at the baby girl.
Officers were made aware of the video and arrived to Posley’s home on Tuesday to do a welfare check. Once at the home, they were able to confirm the suspect and her child were the ones in the disturbing video.
Posley was arrested on felony child abuse charges and taken to Seminole County Jail. Her daughter was removed from her custody by Child Protective Services.
In the short clip, Posley points and yells at her daughter, “Your daddy wants to post sh–, right? He want to f—ing post sh– and not answer the G-d d–n phone! I hate your a–!” she screams.
She is then seen slapping the 1-year-old in the face and on the back.
Posley was later released from jail after posting a $2,000 bond.
