An investigation is underway after Cleburne police were called to a residence for a homicide early Saturday morning.
Around 2 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Gatrix after receiving a call from a man who said he had just shot his wife. Upon arrival they located a deceased elderly woman and a man who appeared to be suffering from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
The man was transported to Harris Methodist hospital Fort Worth in critical condition. No further details have been given at this time.
