A 35-year-old man was mauled to death by pit bulls he had been raising. His mutilated body was discovered in a blood-stained dog kennel on his property in Compton, California.

Veteranians are now with the pit bulls as they are being DNA tested.

Officials believe that the man was killed on Thursday night, close to 7:30 p.m. His body was found by his girlfriend, in the kennel, the following morning.

A woman was seen scaling a fence trying to escape the seemingly viscous dogs that had already killed her boyfriend. She had contacted authorities after finding the body in the backyard.

Surveillance footage from the home shows the victim feeding the dogs before they attacked him.

First responders and animal control swiftly arrived to the location. Their goal was to first get the dogs to a yard nearby so that they could help the victim.

The victim’s clothes could be seen strewn around the backyard, as well as, him being bitten and mauled to death.

13 dogs have been removed from the residence, including males and females, 5 adults and 8 puppies.

DNA swaps and forensic evidence were taken at the scene in order to determine which dogs were responsible for the deadly attack.

The dogs will also be checked out for any aggression, their overall health, and behavior.

Any of the dogs that are found to be life-threatening to a human will be euthanized.
