87-Year-Old Woman Fights Off Teen Intruder, Feeds Him Because He Was Hungry

87-year-old Marjorie Perkins, of Brunswick, Maine, fought off a teenager who had broken into her residence in the middle of the night. She then fed him because he was very hungry, she said.

On July 26, Perkins had been sleep when she had awaken to someone standing over her. The person warned that they would stab her with a knife.

Perkins then decided that she was going to kick the intruder and used a chair to protect herself.

However, when they got to the kitchen, the teenage intruder confessed that he was very hungry.

Perkins then provided him with peanut butter, honey crackers, Ensure, and two tangerines.

After she called authorities, the intruder left on foot without his shoes.

Since Perkins gave police a description of the suspect, officers went to a residence of a teen that matched the description. A K-9 unit was used to finally find the teen who was taken to a youth detention center.

The unidentified juvenile has been charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, assault, and consuming alcohol as a minor.

  1. God Bless this woman because this absolutely could have turned out differently. I pray this young man gets the help he needs before he murderers/unfortunately gets murdered
