Man Found Deceased In A Dallas Embankment

Dallas police are investigating after a man was found deceased in a Dallas embankment Saturday.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Rock Island in regards to a body in the levee.

When officers arrived they could see a deceased male down in the embankment in the levee laying face down, partially in the water.

The male was said to be in his 50’s and his identity has not been released at this time.

The victim suffered stab wounds to his upper torso and appeared to be severely beaten in the face.

Authorities have no suspect(s) at this time and are working to determine what led up to the murder.

This investigation remains ongoing.
