A St. Louis man admitted in court on Friday to killing the grandson of the woman who owns Sweetie Pie’s. He was known for his appearance on the television show, “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” which ran for 5 seasons.

Travel Hill, 30, pleaded guilty to charges for his involvement in the murder-for-hire killing of 21-year-old Andre Montgomery Jr. in 2016.

As a part of his plea agreement, Hill admitted to shooting Montgomery for $5,000. He said he was hired by Montgomery’s uncle, James Norman, to kill him.

Hill also admitted that Norman hired Terica Ellis, an exotic dancer, to lure Montgomery to the place where he shot him.

Both Ellis and Norman will go on trial in September for conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire charges.

In addition to hiring Hill and Ellis, Norman is also accused of bringing his insurance agent in the scheme. Waiel Yaghnam is charged with wire and mail fraud after Norman took out a $450,000 life insurance policy for Montgomery.

Norman faces these charges as well, in addition to the murder-for-hire charges.
